In its latest Emotional Footprint Report, the Info-Tech Research Group team recognized Acronis Cyber Protect Cloud as one of the world's leading providers of extended detection and response, also known as XDR. Best of all? This recognition didn't come just from what the company says, but from what those who actually use the platform every day say: the customers. This makes it very clear that Acronis is doing things right for the companies that rely on them.
Info-Tech created these reports to give buyers real help when deciding which tool to choose. How do they do it? They rely on feedback from real users (yes, people like you and me who have already tried these solutions) and then translate all that into graphs, tables, and comparisons. What's interesting is that they don't just focus on technical features, but on the entire experience: the support you receive, customer service, and what it's really like to interact with the provider.
How does the Emotional Footprint Report work?
Info-Tech does not rely solely on cold numbers or technical specifications. Rather, it seeks to capture how users really feel about a tool or platform. To achieve this, they divide opinions into two types of scores:
-
Value Index: measures whether people feel that what they receive is worth what they paid for it.
-
Net Emotional Footprint: combines responses to 25 questions to show users' overall sentiment toward a product.
With these two scores, Info-Tech creates a “map” of the market (such as XDR solutions, for example) and classifies vendors into four types: Relationship Builders, Competitors, Value Players, and the best of the bunch, the Champions.
And yes, Acronis was named a Champion in the May 2025 XDR report. But that's not all. It had already achieved the same title in other areas such as backup and availability and endpoint protection.
And how did Acronis fare in this year's report?
In addition to taking the top spot as Champion, Acronis Cyber Protect Cloud swept several categories for positive perception. Info-Tech asked users to rate vendors by choosing between pairs of opposing concepts (such as “reliable” vs. “unreliable”), and the results left Acronis in a very good position.
In fact, it was number one among 12 competitors, achieving 100% positive opinions in the following areas:
-
Respectful
-
Efficient
-
Altruistic
-
Customer-focused
-
Continuous improvement
-
Grateful to its customer base
-
Reliable
In addition, it ranked second in two other very important categories:
-
Generous
-
Delivers more than it promises
