Canalys, a leading technology industry analyst firm, recently published three key reports on essential IT management tools: security, backup and disaster recovery. Acronis took these three studies and analyzed them together. The result? Canalys usually classifies technology companies into four groups: Champions, Contenders, Climbers and Fundamentals. It's like a map to understand who's leading, who's on track, and who's just getting started.
At the end of 2024, Acronis first appeared in the report on management tools and automation. The rating? It was named a “Climber,” which basically means it's climbing strongly and gaining ground quickly.

The first was fairly straightforward: they assigned points based on which quadrant each vendor fell into (4 points if you were a Champion, 3 if you were a Contender, and so on). Then, they put all that data into a table and graphed it.
Then, they applied a slightly more technical approach, measuring the exact position of each supplier on the axes of the graph and converting that distance into a score. The result? Almost identical. So, whichever way you look at it, Acronis was the clear number one.
The results of the joint analysis make one thing very clear: Acronis is doing things right. Its approach of having everything integrated (security, backup and management) is not only working, it's making a real difference.
